Hello ladies and gentlemen!
We got some complaints we arent keeping up to date our blog. But hey, we aren't even in Australia by now. We are just finding out, how blogspot.com works. So PLEASE, give us some time!
But there is actually some VERY interesting news, so you better have a seat: We were about to book the flight at qantas.com, just when the A380 with the name "Spirit of Australia" almost crashed on the way from Singapore to Sydney. And now guess what! Yes, it was a qantas-plain! So, where is the spirit now?!? Great news, isn't it? We might get to try that giga-airliner and if we are clever enough and wait with our booking until qantas is gonna pay people, tired of life ones for example, for flying with their unsafe vehicles - then our time has come! So, our advice: try the multi-stop-flight on www.qantas.com. Our researches say (well, actually Alex' researches ONLY), that this is probably the cheapest way to get to Australia and you can stop for a couple of days in Singapor or wherever. But do that before - you might not get back alive.
We will fly from Munich via London to Singapore, spend there some time and from Singapore via Perth to Cairns for less then 1.100 Euros. Tickets are valid for one year, but changing a booking element (e.g. the date) costs 100 Euros - but it's still very good (see the red lines on the map below).
Second new thing is, Philipps idea: That if we are in Australia, we should take the chance and see some places close by. E.g. as mentioned before Singapore, New Zealand of course, Fidschi-Islands, Bali, Honkong (at least it's about in the same timezone) (green lines on the map), but the winner is Cape Town (yellow line). Google map it baby (www.maps.google.com), and you will find out it's the capital of South Africa. So far away but more or less in the timezone of Europe - incredible, isn't it? But second class elementary school explains this phaenomen: the world is round and between Africa and Australia is just a little lake, called Indian Ocean. What have we learned out of it? If you come up with such insane ideas, do some researches before. You can avoid some stupid comments - altought it's good fun (but not for you) or leave it up to Alex. So, we are defenitely not going to Cape Town - not on this trip.

| km stands for kilometers. |
But now some serious news: We will start our trip in the north, maybe Brisbane or more probably Cairns, because in the beginning of May it will be cold in the south, while in the north it's pretty warm but without any tropical rains. Thanks to the guy who found this out, BEFORE starting to Australia. And then, once we arrived there, and only when we have arrived there, we will decide where to go next.
Nothing more serious is on, so hasta la proxima!
